Ninja SLUSHi cheat sheet
Four things that separate a perfect slush from a sad, soupy mess. Master these and every recipe here will work the first time.
Sugar is non-negotiable
The SLUSHi needs at least 4% sugar (about 8g per 8oz) to freeze properly. Diet sodas and sugar-free mixes won't slush - add simple syrup if your base is unsweetened.
Go easy on the alcohol
Alcohol has a much lower freezing point than water. Keep it to roughly 1–1.5 oz per serving - too much and the machine throws an alcohol error and won't shave.
Start cold, stay smooth
Pre-chill your liquids before pouring them in. Cold ingredients freeze dramatically faster and give you a smoother, more even slush.
Dial in the texture
Use the temperature / freeze-level control to fine-tune thickness. Bump it up a notch or two after the beep if you want a denser, spoonable slush.
