Instructions

  1. 1

Brew espresso or prepare cold brew; cool or chill completely before using.

  2. 2

Combine chilled coffee, vodka, coffee liqueur, and water in a pitcher and stir.

  3. 3

Pour the mixture into the vessel, keeping the total between the MIN and MAX fill lines.

  4. 4

Select the Slush setting and allow the machine to process - approximately 15–45 minutes.

  5. 5

Dispense into a martini glass and garnish with coffee beans or a dusting of cocoa powder if desired.

  6. 6

Tip: If the result tastes too bitter, stir in simple syrup before the next batch - sweetness cannot be adjusted mid-cycle.

Pro tips

  • Stick to ~1-1.5 oz alcohol per serving - alcohol does not freeze, so the water is essential for the machine to process slush properly.
  • Use pre-chilled ingredients to speed freezing and don't overfill beyond the 64oz fill line.
  • Hot espresso will melt ice; cool it first.

Thank you for a great recipe. Just got our slushy maker and this is the first recipe we tried. Came out a little bitter for our liking. We mixed in some simple syrup and that perfected it for our tastes.
